Hannah enters the MTC

Wednesday August 17th, 2011 Sister Salmon enters the MTC.

Hannah's first email - Aug 23rd

Hey MOM!
How are things back at home? I've been getting your letters. I really enjoyed the last one with all the letters from Audrey, Jonny and Camille. Life here is great! Although we definitely have our hard times.
I'm in a threesome, Sister Kennedy and Sister Manwill. Both are really good sisters and will make really good missionaries. Its a little hard working in a threesome sometimes. We started teaching "investigators" (our teachers) last week so its a little hard when trying to plan and also when we give our lessons because you have one more companion to worry about.

Mail is the best part of the day. When our district leader elder Hoggue brings in the mail each day everyones faces all light up. I've received all the letters from dearelder.com as well. I forgot about that program. The nice thing about it, is we receive the letters that same day. Well, depending on what time you send it.
I ran into Spencer yesterday and we ate lunch together in the cafeteria. That was a highlight for sure. I wanted so badly to give him a hug but we've been asked not to hug individuals of the opposite gender so we settled for a hand shake instead. It felt so cool showing him off to my companions and the rest of my district at lunch.Every one thought it was just soo cool I had a brother working here. The food isn't too bad. They have a huge variety. The only thing is that its really rich and heavy, so I'm trying to make sure i don't over eat.

Mom, some of the things i need from home and some of these things could be sent through dearelder.com like all the mailing address of all my siblings and and grandparents. I especially need Emily's and Rachel's because I have letters I need to mail and don't know their addresses.

We went to the Provo temple this morning and did a session. This will have been my fifth temple I've gone through. It was such a neat experience. And next week we decided that we're going to go through and do iniatories (sp?). I'm excited about that. I haven't done that since when I went through the first time.
Also i could really use some of those nylon footy socks that look like ankle socks. I think they're called pods? that could be totally wrong.
I would write more but we only have half an hour to check our email and then send our email. If we don't send our mail with in that time the computer turns off and we lose our letter. I'll be sending you more information in the mail. I love you, and all the family. Feel free to forward this on to whom ever although this isn't the most informative letter.
When is Colters surgey?
I love the MTC! the church is true. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He died for me.
